The 2018 GMC TERRAIN
Configurations

OVERVIEW

Edmunds.com rating: 4.0 Stars based on 89 reviews

The all-new 2018 GMC Terrain delivers on the premise of "Professionsal Grade". The cabin is comfortable, quiet and full of cargo space. As a family hauler, the Terrain shines. Backseat thrills are many by default, and downright limousine-like. Overall standard features are generous. Even the base SLE trim includes sliding and reclining rear seats, rearview camera on a 7" display and OnStar.

The Terrain started in 2010 with major changes since. With the latest redesign in 2018, it has made headlines across the country. USNews even named it a finalist in the "2018 Best Compact SUV for families". The Terrain has a new 9-speed transmission and the vehicles weight has dropped 700 lbs. With those two changes, they've increased fuel economy and overall driving performance.

CONFIGURATIONS

The Terrain's chasis is shared with the Chevrolet Equinox, and is sold in 3 different trims. The SLE, SLT and range-topping Denali. Every Trim has LED daytime running lamps and LED taillights. They all have niceties such as real aluminum cabin pieces, and soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels. Other standard equipment include Apple Carplay, Android Auto, keyless entry, keyless start, leather wrapped steering wheel, OnStar and built-in 4G LTE hotspot. The Denali adds extra flare with chrome accents, 19-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, and a Bose audio system. Both the SLE and SLT have the 1.5 Liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine and the Denali has the 2.0 Liter Turbo turbocharged engine. All levels have a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive option, fold flat rear seats and front passenger seat.
